EET* H253 - Advanced Digital Electronics Credits: 3 A continuation of digital circuit design. Includes counters (asynchronous, synchronous types), multi-bit shift registers, logic families, A/D and D/A converters, and code converters. Static and dynamic RAM memory circuits used in computers are studied along with ROMs, masked PROMs and erasable PROMs. PLD design is explored extensively. Schematic entry and state diagram are methods learned to program a Xilinx FPGA. VHDL is introduced.
